Creedmoor awaits IRS word on penalties
CREEDMOOR -- Creedmoor officials are still awaiting a final decision about possible penalties resulting from shoddy bookkeeping of Creedmoor's municipal finances, but the city had to pay a certified public accountant more money for extra work.
Fowler reinstated to tourism authority
CREEDMOOR -- Eleanor Fowler was reinstated Tuesday evening as Creedmoor's representative on the Granville County Tourism Development Authority board by a 4-1 City Commission vote.

Granville Health System intends to bring in new doctors to meet future patient needs over three years and because more than a few practitioners in the white coats are aging, Chief Executive Officer Lee Isley said.
